Woke up this morning to MORE snow and freezing temps! That's pretty much been the weather around here for the past 3 weeks! I'm not complaining as I enjoy snow, but would have liked for Autumn to stick around a wee bit longer. Well, at least it has helped me get motivated on working on my Christmas creations .... for listing in my Etsy Shop as well as starting my handmades for gift giving*s*.
I plan on having a totally handmade Christmas, complete with handmade gifts as well this year. Part of my plan of getting back to the simple life of long ago yesterdays. That was my 2009 New Years resolution and it has been a work in progress...but oh so much fun! Amazing what one can do if you put your heart and hands to it *s*
From now until mid December, I plan on sharing sites that might inspire you in giving from your heart and hands....... with wonderful ideas and sites who so generously share fabulous patterns.
Remember.....
A Gift From The Heart Is A Most Treasured Gift Of All
Here's a beautiful site I stumbled upon not to long ago. The name of it alone makes me *smile*...............It is Among The Gum Trees blog A group of sweet talented ladies put this blog together and it surely is one you will enjoy visiting. For nine weeks, they will be posting one of their fabulous patterns for FREE!!!! Talking about gifts...how wonderful is that! So make sure to visit Among the Gum Trees blog as they have just posted Freebie Pattern #4...and thank them for being so generous. Oh....btw...Pattern 1 through 3 are posted on the right sidebar!!
Am off to fetch my warm woolens and enjoy a bit of snow *wink*.........Do have a delightful Friday!

Hi Lex,
I received my stuff today and my heart was singing as I open your package. Its just like Christmas morn. I left you feedfack on etsy but I must not be seeing it on Artfire. If its there, let me know and I'll post. I probably missed it.
I love my little sheep and their sayings. Was buying the little snowmen for my DD but I think they might not want to leave here. LOL
Hugs to you. Keep warm.
Connie
I'm terrified of snow. I don't envy you the early snowfall! Very scary for Halloween, tho!!!
Thanks for that site, I will have to go see. Lots of talented folks on the Internet!
Hi Lex
Sounds like your weather has been crazy too. It got really cold here and then warm again. Lots of rain latley. And believe me i'm not ready for snow. Oh no not yet. LOL Our summer wasn't a summer either.
Thanks for the heads up on the nice blogs. Will have to check them out. I was thinking of doing the same with the gifts. At least that is something they can hang on to and remember me when i'm gone.
Enjoy your extra hour of sleep.
Hugs Pam
Oh my Lex.. more snow?? I feel for you gf, but I can see where it would inspire you.. :)
Just a little side comment to Connie.. I "met" Lex in Sept when I was trying to place an order from her Etsy shop. When I saw what I ordered I was so excited, I just couldn't believe I owned just amazing prim treasures and knowing that each one was handmade with love. I'm not much of a sewer so I tend to buy my textiles. I'm glad you love them and I totally get it!! lol
Well Lex, keep warm my dear friend, we'll talk soon I'm sure.
Hayley
